Before and during Town Meeting, members will be provided with a great deal of information about the Warrant Articles. Much of this information will be made available online prior to Town Meeting, while other documents will be distributed in printed form shortly before the relevant Article is considered.

The TMMA organizes and maintains a table outside the main hall as a central distribution point for members of Town Meeting. Documents will include:

  • Reports by Town boards and committees
  • Motions to be made at Town Meeting
  • Amendments to motions that may be offered during Town Meeting
  • Background information about Warrant Articles
  • Printed versions of slide shows that will be presented
  • A summary of actions taken to date by the current Town Meeting

Information relevant to articles should be placed on the TMMA information table outside the auditorium by 7:00pm.

For quick access, documents will be organized into a "new information" group for the items that have not been offered previously, and an "old information" group for all other items.

Some documents are frequently updated between sessions, and different colored paper may be used to distinguish each version.

The TMMA asks that each information sheet be signed, dated, and indicate the article to which it refers. Group statements should provide the name of a contact person.
