DiversifyLexLit is now on it's way to place books in classrooms! With funding we will be able to buy books from our resrouce list, and library wish lists to place in classrooms. Bridge School Collaboration!
Diversify LexLiterature is making exciting progress, and we are starting to collaborate with Bridge Elementary School! If you are a student in grades K-5, here is a form where you can submit books that have been important to you. Our project encourages everyone to reflect on the 3 following questions:
Have you ever seen yourself reflected in a book?
Have you ever learned about another group of people through a book?
Have you ever felt connected to a group of people through a book?
Our ultimate goal is for every elementary student to be able to answer "Yes!" to all of the above questions. We aim to promote curiosity and learning of others, while also validating all identities.
