Dec 8th, Free Flu Clinic, LHS (posted by Kathleen OBrien Carcione on Wed Nov 24 12:25:07 2010) |
On December 8th the Town of Lexington Board of Health will partner with Lexington Public Schools to provide a free flu clinic as a public health service during X Block for your Metco high school student. The hours are 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, to be held in Commons I. Students must present consent forms signed by their parent/guardian to receive their flu shot.
Consent forms may be obtained from this posting, the LHS Nurses’ Office, the Metco Office, or downloaded from the LHS nurses’ website. Consent forms may be turned in before Dec. 8th to the LHS Nurses’ Office or Metco Office, or at the time of the clinic. You’ll find a letter attached explaining the vaccination process. We look forward to assisting your children in taking steps towards assuring a healthy flu season. It’s a good time to be vaccinated as the seasonal flu and H1N1 have not yet arrived to our region. If you have any questions, contact Cheryl Johnson, RN 781-861-2320 ext. 1014. |
LHS Family Portal (posted by Kathleen OBrien Carcione on Mon Oct 4 17:12:30 2010) |
Dear Parents/Guardians: Lexington High School continues to move forward with the use of technology to improve communication between school and home. This fall we have created family accounts in our X2 database system. As a recipient of an account, every parent/guardian has access to a Family Portal account that shows a student's current attendance record. It has taken quite a bit of time to create and verify the accounts for such a large number of students. Currently, we are now in the process of mailing home a letter to each student's household. The informational letter includes a user name and instructions for creating a secure password (one per family; if you have more than one child at the high school, one account allows access to each child's attendance). We are working diligently to cross-check student names, parent/guardian names, and user names. As a result, the letters are being mailed in batches. Please be patient. If you have not received notice by Friday, October 8th, please call the main office at the high school. Laura Lasa, Assistant Principal - LHS |
